1. Discipleship – How??
  • In the group (journals)

Ensures physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and wholeness for each student in their family context

Learning and doing at home
  • Encourages students to apply the spiritual principles and practices learned at the Light House
  • Teaches them to become self-disciplined learners
  • Teaches them to depend on the Holy Spirit to be their teacher
  • Opportunity for the children to witness and disciple in their families and community
  • Two started their own small business using money earned by hard labour in someones fields…

Aims
  • Build 2 Peter 1 characteristics into the lives of the children AND their families
  • Raise the literacy and numeracy level of the children and their families
  • Provide relevant practical skills training to enable the children to become effective and productive employment creators

Practical Skills
  • Farming God’s Way
  • The children take responsibility for their own piece of farmland at the Light House
  • They learn to do things:
  • On time
  • To standard
  • Without wastage
  • With joy!
Business God’s Way
  • With some of their business profits, Washington and Wellington contributed to school fees for their younger brother
  • Part of becoming givers, not just receivers
Numeracy and Literacy Skills
  • Recognise godly principles in language and maths
  • Excellently equipped to cope with entrepreneurial activities
  • Capable of continuing their education through distance means
Creator Studies
  • Recognise God’s principles at work in God’s creation
  • Human biology reinforces our identity in Christ
  • Experimentation develops deeper thinking skills
Mentor Training
  • Big hearted people who build Cross Over groups
  • Volunteers or paid through children being sponsored
  • Learn together with their group
  • Practice what they preach and teach
