Grassroots

The aim is to train up a team of committed kingdom workers who have a heart for the poor and who will take up their cross and follow Jesus by teaching Foundations for Farming wherever they are called. Formally launched in September 2008. Candidates demonstrated faithfulness, unselfishness and a servant’s heart for the poor.

Thirteen successful applicants chose to dedicate their lives to FfF and were inducted into the training. GRT’s are drawn from all walks of life crossing racial, cultural, age and gender barriers. Their unity stems from their common love for Jesus! They are drenched in the teachings of FfF, and Brian’s heart. They have put boots on their faith by going out to answer the call to evangelise a continent through FfF.

Whilst not training they work with humility as General Labourers on the Westgate Station, at the same time continually learning and becoming familiar with the FfF work ethic. In the first six weeks after training:
  • They have visited 27 communities
  • They have trained 1600 individuals
  • They have touched 16000 people!
  • Presented 2 radio dramas for TWR
  • Presented a TV Drama for the FGW TV Show
The next intake of Grassroots will be enrolled on the 1st September 2009, we are already accepting applications for this training scheme.
